70 million SEK for development of forest-based new materials
On June 14 the Minister for Enterprise and Innovation Mikael Damberg participated in the launch of the national research platform Treesearch. The national platform is built to research material innovations from forest materials and the hopes are that in the future batteries, window glass and medical implants can come out of it. The Swedish government agency Vinnova has decided to support Treesearch in a first stage with 6 million SEK and plans to contribute up to 70 million SEK during a four year period.
