Community Breakfast about internationalization

Materials Business Center arranged the second community breakfast of the new series of events targeting startups that they want to help become even more successful.

The events are breakfast meetings for community members that are a part of Materials Business Center. Each meeting starts with a short introduction of Materials Business Centers support and offerings and then a guest speaker presents valuable and inspirational information on different startup related themes.

A breakfast is always a great way to start the day, but the real value lies in you getting the possibility to learn more about what startups can get from us in terms of material analysis and testing, prototyping for sensor related business and also international business advisory says Carl Malm, Project Leader Materials Business Center.

The second breakfast meeting was held December 12th at Materials Business Centers head office at Innovation Skåne, The Spark Medicon Village. Project Coordinator Erik Stenberg presented Materials Business Centers startup support which includes:

  • Joint events and fairs
  • Business Advisory with experts in your field
  • Access to established industry, help find customers and challenges
  • Help with internationalization (sponsoring soft landing program etc)
  • Set up and sensor materials validation/analysis/proof of concept
  • Visibility in our presentations, web

The meeting continued with a presentation by guest speaker Margareta Wallenten, Project Manager at Innovation Skåne. She presented valuable and inspirational information about internationalization for a startup. The traditional approach is to scale internationally by looking at the geography first – taking the neighboring country. Margaretas recommendation is to see internationalization as a network entry process in which international scaling is decided by the networks the company has. Find your cluster collaboration.
