Innovation Summit on Lightweight Metallics
Materials Business Center ended 2019 with an Innovation Summit focusing on Lightweight Metallic Materials. The guests were given a mix of presentations on critical materials related challenges from established companies and a flavor of the cutting-edge research and development that is being conducted in this area.
The Innovation Summit on Lightweight Metallic Materials was organized December 5th in Lund in order to showcase the impact of lightweight materials. The purpose of the event was to inform and inspire entrepreneurs and researchers about the current and upcoming business opportunities in the area as well as stimulate new ideas and collaborations between established companies, entrepreneurs and researchers from institutes and academia. It was an open conference were participants integrated with the guest speakers, which contributed to deep discussions thought the day.
Here are the highlights of the day:
Dmytro Orlov, Professor at Materials Engineering, Lund University, started the day by addressing lightweighting through improving structural efficiency in Mg alloys and other materials. See the full presentation in the video below.
