Rawstraw is the first company on the Swedish market to produce 100% natural, locally sourced and biodegradable single-use straws. With an easy solution to a complex problem, their vision is to become the largest replacement for plastic and paper straws. What makes the straws unique? Other than the fact that they are compostable and made from a by-product from Swedish rye-flour production, they also possess the advantage of keeping their shape no matter the type or temperature of the drink.

GAIA BioMaterials

GAIA offers innovative, biodegradable patented materials based on renewable sources, that can replace 80% of all fossil volume plastics, under the brand Biodolomer®. Biodolomer does not generate microparticles and significantly reduces CO2-emissions when incinerated. Biodolomer® is available in different qualities for film blowing, injection moulding, sheet extrusion and bottle blowing. GAIA co-operates with global companies to serve a global demand for sustainable biodegradable solutions.

Obducat Technologies

Obducat works with Nano Imprint Lithography, a technique to create small features on substrates. They give the substrate properties that normally are not inherent to that material. Possible properties include Anti-Reflective, Self-Cleaning, Anti-Microbial, Friction Reducing and Fluidics. Many companies can provide similar features, but through patented process Obducat can structure substrates up to 0,5 x 0,5 meters to companies all over the world.

Spermosens

Spermosens is developing a patent-pending diagnostic device for male infertility, looking beyond the conventional sperm count and morphology. A first of a kind technology, Spermosens uses recombinant human egg-cell proteins to probe the fertilization potential of sperms electrochemically. Further it has implications in the suitable choice of Assisted Reproductive Technology, thereby reducing the time to conception and saving on costs and number of ART or IVF cycle required for the patients.

Innoscentia

Innoscentia is a sensor company developing solutions for smart food labels to monitor food status in real time. Our products are both digital and analogue providing possibilities to reduce the amount of waste produced by the current best before dates. About one third of all food is wasted and 10% of this is accounted for by the current system which is based on conservative predicitons. By monitoring the status in real time the consumption time can be prolonged with several days.

Akoustos

Akoustos AB has developed a revolutionary sound-absorbing screw for ceilings and walls. Replacing standard screws in a wall with Akoustos’ sound screws have proved to reduce the noise level by 9 dB. The screw is as simple as ingenious. When mounted it works like a regular screw, but in a fixed position, it creates a small resilient distance between the stud and the board. In comparison to present sound insulating solutions, it saves building material, installation time, floor area, and more.

Elonroad

Elonroad is a hightech electric road concept that auto charges all types of electric vehicles when parked as well as when driving. Electric roads extend driving range and reduce the need of large and heavy batteries. The company is currently building a 1 km electric road with its technology to test and demonstrate the electric road for city buses in Lund 2020-2022. Further ongoing projects are automatic parking chargers and operation and payment solutions for charging infrastructure.

Anatomic Studios

Anatomic Studios works at the intersection of design, fashion and 3D-technology, creating personalized prosthetic covers that empower and inspire amputees to wear and show off their prosthesis. Anatomic Studios believe in design that celebrates the uniqueness of a human body, personality and style. With their prosthetic covers they aim to bridge the gap between fashion and function, offering a whole new experience in wearing prosthesis and inviting users to be a part of the creative process.

DiaPure

DiaPures filtermaterial is designed for phosphorus traps in private sewagesystems, based on a naturally porous material covered in a coating with phosphorus sorbing properties. The material does not age and clogg and has therefore a long lasting function. DiaPures goal is to purify waste water from phosphorus regardless of whether people live in areas with a high protection area or not, because it cares for nature and forms a natural cycle; what previously was waste, can be of use again.

Greinon develops a multi-functional Smart City Lighting Management System with a vision to create green, efficient, and safe cities. They develop basic sensors like temperature, humidity, air-pressure, vibration sensors, but also more complex sensors within motion detection: radar, PIR, or combination with an option to have a Machine Learning support that would allow more advance functionalities. Greinon core focus in the sensors area is the motion detection for the City Lighting management system.

Suntribe was founded by surf teachers and nature lovers. The Swedish company offers worry-free natural sunscreens that are safe for people and nature, currently selling to more than 150 businesses. Suntribe believe sunscreen should protect people from the sun without posing and threat to human health or nature. Rooted in the sports industry, the Swedish company is now expanding into the mass market.

Prebona

Prebona is a material technology company that develops, produces and markets high performance products and solutions, including unique odor eliminating substances, dirt repellent materials and surface protecting technology. They have upcoming products for infection control (disinfectants) and antimicrobial systems. Based on unique technology platform the products remove unpleasant smells, treat and preserve surfaces and advance medical solutions.

Watersprint develops and produces a safe and efficient technology for water purification through intelligent use of the new LED technology. This UVC LED technology was invented by Japanese scientists who were awarded the Nobel Prize in Physics in 2014. Watersprint have then used their expertise in innovation, testing, mechanics, optics, electronics, microbiology and software for maximum effect in units. No chemicals needed and a small energy footprint.
