Sweden hosts world-leading technology conference 2020
The American technology conference TechConnect World launches a European version in Malmö. The TechConnect Europe Innovation Conference & Expo will thus be the first conference held outside the United States and is expected to attract up to 2000 international participants.
The conference will accommodate companies, scientist, entrepreneurs and other organizations operating with transmission technology as well as investors searching for promising companies and solutions within, for instance, advanced materials, nanotechnology, pharmacology, biotechnology, smart city, Big Data, and advanced manufacturing.
– The establishment of the materials research facilities MAX IV and the European Spallation Source (ESS) is a success in itself. But to make southern Sweden more than just a place for research tourism, where researchers visit Lund one or two nights to perform their measurements, we need to develop the materials ecosystem around the facilities says Carl Malm, Project Manager, Materials Business Center.
TechConnect Europe Innovation Conference & Expo becomes an important part in this ecosystem, and also in letting the world look upon southern Sweden as the place to solve materials related challenges, connect with other part of the materials community and witness southern Sweden as the best environment to start and grow your materials related business.
TechConnect has arranged conferences in the USA for over 20 years contributing to commercialization of research and startups.
– We are extremely excited to announce the annual TechConnect Europe Innovation Conference and Expo in Malmö, Sweden and we are honored to be part of the team building this new program from both Sweden and across Europe. With the local construction of MAX IV and ESS, and the expanding European-wide innovation initiatives within Horizon 2020 and Horizon Europe, we see an ideal convergence taking place between scientific discovery and entrepreneurial opportunities. This is a unique time and place for applied research and commercialization, and we are proud to launch the TechConnect Europe Innovation Conference to help bridge these communities, says Matthew Laudon, CEO, TechConnect.
The date for the conference is 19-21 October 2020 at Clarion Malmö Live in Malmö. Join the innovation program by submitting your abstracts or commercially-viable technologies by April 30.
